Rosalee Keech, candidate for the New Jersey State Assembly, is committed to promoting environmental policies that protect our natural resources, promote sustainable development, and create a greener, healthier future for all New Jersey residents. Further, she recognizes that all must share in its cost, including businesses that profit, on a tiered basis.

She strongly supports the clean energy transition, advocating for the expansion of solar energy programs and incentivizing homeowners and businesses to invest in renewable energy systems. Rosalee is also dedicated to developing and investing in energy storage technologies to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. She will work to ensure the expansion of electric vehicle infrastructure and encourage the electrification of transportation.

Preserving New Jersey’s natural beauty and biodiversity is a core priority. Rosalee will champion the protection of beaches and bays. She will champion protection and expansion for state parks, wetlands, and other open spaces, while advocating for policies that combat deforestation and ensure the protection of New Jersey’s forests, which are critical for carbon sequestration. She is committed to protecting water resources, guaranteeing clean drinking water for all communities, and strengthening pollution regulations to safeguard New Jersey’s natural environment.

Rosalee Keech recognizes the urgent need to address climate change and will support climate adaptation and resilience strategies, particularly for communities vulnerable to flooding and extreme weather events. She will push for policies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions in alignment with New Jersey’s goals under the Paris Agreement and strengthen disaster preparedness infrastructure to better respond to climate-related disasters like hurricanes and wildfires.

Creating a more sustainable food system in New Jersey would address food security in the future. Rosalee Keech will support our NJ fish industry and local farmers through incentives for sustainable practices including fishing to maximum sustainable yield, protecting habitats through reserves and regulated zones, using eco-friendly gear to reduce bycatch and seabed damage, organic farming and promoting farm-to-table initiatives. Her platform includes policies to reduce food waste, expand recycling and composting programs, and encourage urban agriculture and community gardens to promote local food production and reduce the carbon footprint of food transport.

Environmental justice is a key focus for Rosalee Keech, and she will ensure that all communities have access to clean air, water, and green spaces. She will work to ensure these communities have a voice in decision-making processes related to environmental hazards and policies that affect them, while also advocating for stronger protections for workers in industries with potential environmental health risks.

Rosalee Keech is a strong advocate for waste reduction and recycling initiatives. She will support statewide bans on single-use plastics and work to encourage the development of sustainable packaging alternatives. Expanding recycling programs to include more materials and incentivizing businesses to adopt sustainable practices will be part of his agenda, along with promoting policies that encourage the reuse of materials, helping New Jersey move toward a circular economy.
